Franco American School is sensitive to the lifestyle of working parents and offers extended-day care before and after school hours. The program provides a supervised framework for snacks, outdoor play, indoor games,  homework/study, and arts and crafts activities. The program is for parents’ convenience, as well as for child enjoyment and safety. 

The before-school program begins at 6:30 AM until the first school bell.  The after-school program begins at 2:00 PM and ends at 5:30 PM.  Students not picked up promptly at school dismissal will be sent to the after-school program. Parents are required to sign out when students are picked up and will be charged a fee appropriate to the time of pick-up.  The same policy will apply for students who attend extra-curricular activities. 

Extended day staff members are employed until 5:30 PM.  Therefore, it is important that parents respect the time of closure.  Students not picked up by the 5:30 closing time will be assessed $10.00 for every ¼ hr. or portion thereof beyond 5:30.

The after-school program is opened on all early dismissal days except the day before Thanksgiving.  If the opening of school is delayed for inclement weather, the before-school program is also delayed.
